Hi everyone, I'm currently on a gap year, not really because I wanted to be but because I had some health issues and had to interrupt my course. I'm currently working in a restaurant as a waitress but I am really not enjoying it for various reasons.

It feels like my A-levels don't matter to any employers at all and everyone wants experience and don't care about your potential. I applied to a ton of admin jobs and some in the NHS (phlebotomy, which i did a short course for) but didn't get a single interview. I don't have any experience in these but surely it shouldn't be so hard to get an entry-level admin job? Could someone give me some advice please? I have no related qualifications but I'm very good with computers and touch-type quicker than anyone I know. Having pretty much perfect grades surely proves to them that I am hard working and will be able to learn whatever skills they require very quickly?

I do want to go to Japan and maybe Korea before going back to university but other than that I just want to work and save up money for next year I just haven't been very successful
Have you ever experienced racism/sexism at uni?
