So I recently started a new school and so far I'm having the worst time because I haven't made a single close friend; even a good friend for that matter! I've always been considered one of the "popular kids" in my old school but now it feels like the complete opposite however throughout this time I've been given so many opportunities to make friends and people have actually wanted to be my friend but for some reason my social skills are not what they once were and that causes them to move away. How do you have a conversation so that a friend becomes a best friend because the window has almost closed and it just feels like I can't have a natural conversation. There are people who always have something interesting to say and can hold conversations for hours but mine just seem so awkward and I never know what to say next please help how do you have conversations with friends ? I'm desperate

If you can't make friends in school, join a sports club and make friends there
