I'm really worried that I'm never gonna end up with a guy who I like and likes me back. I've been told by loads of males that they wouldn't date me because of my skin colour. It's not even like I can get a boyfriend or anything in India because I'm not fluent in Tamil, therefore I don't feel like I am British or Indian.

I've been in a relationship before but it turned out the guy was just desperate to be in a relationship with anyone and I fell for it. He wasn't very attractive but had a way with words- you know when you "fall in love" (so cliché, I apologise) you see them in a different way?

I feel like it's kinda my fault too. I think from all the books and movies I've encountered, I have some misconceptions about what a boyfriend should be like.

Anyways.. is it always gonna be like this?

Weren't/ Aren't you the same? (desperate for some company I mean)

Not really a good reason if you ask me, do you mean he had nothing in common/ wasn't really a good match?

    That I can understand.

PS Maybe your problem is something to do with the area you live in?

Its fine, Ive felt the same way too. Ive asked myself so many times "Why cant I get a boyfriend? Am I really that undesirable to guys?" I learned over time you just have to wait and let love come to you naturally- those are the relationships that are real. You will find someone who loves you for who you are and not just your appearance someday, I promise. If a guy says they can't date you because of your skin its because theyre ****ing racist trash. They dont deserve you sweety. And having a boyfriend will be much more different in the movies, thats for sure. It wont always be lovey-dovey, but if you can get past hardships with them, it will assure you that the relationship is worth it.

Don't worry, you'll find someone soon who likes you for you. Life isn't all about being in a relationship, so don't stress
