I'm currently on a gap year applying to take Criminology at uni in September. I have a lot of spare time so I wanted to read some books about criminology before starting the course to give me a head start and to make it easier to understand the course

If you're taking criminology now (or are about to take it), are there any books (which weren't compulsory to read) that you've read which you found really helpful?

They don't have to be about anything in particular but I'm interested in terrorism & hate crime.
How are you feeling about your exams?
