Im currently doing AS, and well our head of year said that if we dont get a minimum D in our Mocks then youre getting kicked out of the course. Can teachers force you to drop it when you dont want to as you know u could do better.

Yes and I found at my former school, some teachers went through with it whereas others chickened out and allowed everyone to sit.

Sometimes it's not always the case. Just a scare to make you work harder.

Talk about trying to doctor their league tables. I'd rather be at another sixth form/college.

Yes they can kick you out, but often when schools say things like this it's often just a scare tactic to get you to work. If you get an E, but show evidence that you actually worked really hard to get an E, or retake and get a considerably better grade, it's more than likely you'll be allowed to stay.

It's how, at my sixth form, they kicked out one kid who got E's/U's in AS, but allowed another with similar grades to stay. It's simply because the second kid had actually worked throughout the year, but messed it all up around exam season, whereas the first just didn't care.
