Townley Grammar Sixth Form and Bexley Grammar Sixth Form

Hello, does anyone know anything about these two schools and how strict they are on their admissions including conditional offers? I know Townley like you to take a test in certain subjects and I have one in maths next week however, I'm not sure if I'd be able to receive a conditional offer or not because my predicted grades are below their requirements.

The fact that you they sent you a letter for the maths entrance exam means that they want you as a student. As long as you pass it, I'm sure you're in (I went to townley).

So getting a high B/A+ grade should be good enough? Also, were you an external student to start with?

Depends on what subjects you plan on doing. If you want to do sciences, then you have to get A's in your science GCSE's (well it those were in requirements when i went there) but for other subjects the requirements vary. Yep, I only joined at sixth form. If you don't mind me asking, what do you plan to take at A-level?

I'm not sure how the demand for those at Townley are but I know they have secondary specialisms in computing and maths, covering 2-3 of my subjects. I really want to get in but don't feel that I'll get a conditional offer. However, I come from Dartford Grammar School which is ranked higher so I'm hoping they'll have faith in me.

Where are you right now and what other schools do you have an offer from? Also, where else did you apply?

right now i am at a school that has a sixth form with below average results, but i love my teachers and friends here. I have only heard back so far from bexley grammar about an offer, i have an interview at woodhouse and mill hill county, i also applied to townley grammar but didn't go to the maths assessment day so probably won't get in there, i also applied to cs grammar but i don't think i would like to go there, i applied to st marylebone too (my favorite) and i hope to get an offer from them, ummm i applied to fortismere too which i also like ,dame alice owen, latymer, harris westminster which i don't really like and can't be asked for the tests, LAE which i liked at first before i discovered how bad the school really is. I think that's it, i applied to a lot but i am most probably going to stay at my sixth form unless i decide i want to do classics instead of english lit, then i might leave.

I'd say bexley, chis and sid or townley are your best options

But at the end of the day , does it really matter where you go , I mean the grades you get will be up to you
