Full story with video reported by the Telegraph earlier on today

Anonymous have stated that they will set out to shut down social networks which link terrorism to avenge the Charlie Hebdo murders.

Shouldn't these sites be shut down anyway? If you're going to terrorise people, you don't get the internet.

Yes they should - I think this is one of the most positive stories to come out.

Anonymous is not some cohesive organisation with significant power. It consists of loosely connected people the world over who use anonymous to pursue their aims We don't know if whoever is claiming to represent anonymous in this case actually has the power to carry out their act.

Anonymous is a total joke. I support attacks on Jihadist websites, but Anonymous isn't the group to do it.

Its a bit like electing a Cinderella impersonator to be the next queen.

Bearing in mind that's how his organisation recruits, he probably should be. It's not like ISIS recruit via snail mail, is it?

His organisation recruits through using the disadvanted sunni population of iraq who feel hard done by the effects of the iraq war and the government, though the western jihadi part is true, i doubt it would make that significant a difference, and why the hell aren't the government taking these websites down instead?

    How are Anonymous hypocrites?
Here's just one example, they hack anyone that THEY disagree with, not someone that society disagrees but someone's who's unideal in their eyes, they constantly take the moral high ground even though they hae lets be honest, done some pretty immoral things

Good for them. I don't have much time for Anonymous though. They are cyber vigilante cowards.
