How long does it take to make all the notes for your GCSE's? When should you start?

I'm currently making all my GCSE notes now and hopefully I want to be done by the end of February or the beginning of March

First off I am not a good example, you should start revising (hour or two a night on weekdays, 3-4 on week-ends) but here's what I did:
.Started revising in the Easter holidays (second week I started properly).
.Worked furiously in those few weeks, before the night of each exam and before the exam itself.
Try to get all your notes done before the end of this month (I did them as I was revising which takes a lot of valuable time) and for sciences (and Geography) CGP revision guides are fantastic!
I managed to get quite good results but could have done much better (and did better in my mocks than the real exams), try to learn from my mistakes, I now do lots of work for AS, not making the same mistakes again
