I have a sine homework and this trianlge

    bottom left corner(A) = 31 degrees
    top corner(B) is unknown
bottom right corner(C) is the missing angle

    length of side (A-B) =8.3cm
    length of side (B-C) =5cm

using the a/sinA=b/sinB=c/sinC formula I worked out that ONE of a possible TWO answers was 59 degrees when put to the nearest degree as asked

what is the formula to get a different answer?

Between 0 and 180 there are two possible angles for any value of the sine function (except sin x = 1). If you plot the values of the sine function between 0 and 180 it is symmetrical around the line x=90 .
Assuming Your 59 is correct, The other possible solution is 180 - 59
Enter sin 121 in your calculator and it will give the same value as sin 59

No idea where you went wrong applying the sine rule gives 67
