What do you think of the Asus ZenBook NX500?

I have been looking for a Laptop to get for Uni, first looked at Macbook, but tbh I am just more of a fan of Windows and it looks like a pretty nice laptop, though it doesn't seem to actually be available to buy anywhere yet xD
Also I am hoping if I wait till I am going to Uni Windows 10 will have been released, so I can get away from this piece of **** Windows 8 xD.

I found it at John Lewis just by googling :colonhash:

Ah it must have only just came into stock xD
I'd definitely go for a Mac instead of a Windows machine if I was spending that much on a laptop. If you don't need it until university, wait until then before you buy anything as updated models will be released, and then you can take full advantage of any student discount.

But those specs are overkill............whats your budget and needs.............I wouldn't jump into 4k just yet, need to have better supporting hardware in my opinion.

I guess my budget is up to about £2k, I am basically looking for a laptop that I can game on if I want to, but it doesn't have to be super good so not a gaming laptop. Mainly as I need it to be quite portable, as otherwise I would be using my much better PC.
Tbh my only requirements are a large amount of Ram (Mainly for Minecraft which can be insane when modded Ram wise.)
As well as a SSD either 256gb or 512gb
Along with decent portability
Along with avoiding Acer and Dell, since all of my friends will kill me if I get one from them

For a laptop costing north of £1,500, hell for a laptop costing more than £500, I'd be wanting more graphics horsepower than a 850M.

For a combination of portability, gaming potential and large amounts of SSD storage I would go for some flavour of Aorus laptop. The X3 models sound particularly well suited to you.

Which games?
Cos if the game supports 4k, then your graphics won't be able to hold up to such a resolution.

Ah, so you do serious Minecraft stuff......8gb+ of ram and a quadcore i7 would be perfect if you are going into serious detail.

Definitely look around more, saveonlaptops as mentioned........theres the Razer laptops though probably have to get it from the USA.
Scan, pcspecialist, novatech, etc

The Aorus is much better value

Yeah I definitely prefer the Aorus, only has one real negative I can see compared to the others and that is I'd prefer a laptop around 15" but a bit bigger isn't the end of the world  Also the cooling system looks better and the Keyboard looks better. Thanks xD
