# Arrhenius equation question -finding Ea watch

1. Calculate the reaction barrier for a zero order reaction, carried out at 25 C, given that the pre-exponential factor is 1013 s-1 and the rate of reaction is 6.8 x 10-8 mol L-1 s-1 (R=8.314 J mol-1 K-1).

how do you find rate constant from this?

It's a zero order reaction so

Thanks! that was my guess but I have no idea why, do you know the explanation for this per chance?

Because any factor raised to the power of zero becomes one.

Rate = k[A]0

and as [A]0 = 1

Then

Rate = k
