Why wont she give me eye contact?

Just started university and its going well. Made some good friends and ive been quite happy. Just wondered about one person though. A girl on my course, we get on well and chat a lot, but ive noticed she will not give me eye contact? Ive also noticed that she gives eye contact to other people, but not me? She also does not make convo well, its always me trying to keep it flowing, im only trying to be friendly. Shes a nice girl and seems fun, but at the same time, seems a bit weird with me when we chat?

When we chat, she tends not to look me in the eye much? Does anyone know why? I would hate to think im scaring her or something?

Im wondering if she dislikes me for some reason? Girls confuse me sometimes lol :tsr2:

its just i cant think why she wouldnt. unless shes desperately in love with you or really cant stand to even look at you. Im thinking it will be one of the 2.

she's shy/she dislikes you/ she has a bf and doesn't want to lead you on (if you are being forward)/ there is something about you that offends her/ you are intimidating in some way/ you are horrifically ugly or weird to look at/ she thinks you dislike her..

there a gazillion possible reasons from what you've told us...

I dont really care if she has taken a dislike to me, she must be more shallow that she first seems if thats the case. Thanks, i just thought id see what other people thought :rolleyes:

Ive been taking secret pics of her so maybe she noticed? Joke, i havnt got any pics of her, she wont give me eye contact let alone let me take a picture of her. She hasnt got myspace either.

She doesnt go red but going back to when i first saw her, i felt there was a bit of chemistry. Im usually the one to fall in love too quick, it makes a change if she has(im sure she hasnt as i have a lot of bad luck :frown:

yeah i'd say if she makes eye contact with everyone else but not you then it's likely that she has a crush on you to be honest. She probably just goes blank when she sees you which is why she doesn't say much.

If she likes me i will be very happy! But i wont rush things, it could be the opposite. I'll see how things go and i'll try by best to get eye contact with her. Thanks for your advice everyone!

I do this with a lad I like. I get all shy, don't talk much and try to aviod eye contact to make it so obvious that I like him... But it all depends on different people.

But I think she likes you. :smile:

Try and talk to her as much as possible and soon she'll warm up to you.

My guess would be that she's isn't used to lads being chatty/forward and thinks that you quite like her, and either doesn't feel the same way or already has a boyfriend.
