Hi, I am a working class teenager but i also study sociology. I believe that working class kids end up in working class jobs because of the government and also our education system. The government is not making it easy for working class children such as myself to go into uni and get a better job. This is because working class children will found it harder to pay the uni feuds that are now about £9000 a year. Also the education system favors middle class values. This causes working class children to start thinking that they can never get where they want to go. Also if the government paid better wages for working class jobs then the children would not see how much their parents are struggling to make ends meat so they would not feel pressured into going to work and they would continue their education.
