    Hey guys,

I'm currently at GCSE level and will do my GCSEs this June. I know it may be a bit early to be thinking about what I want to do at university, but I'm very interested in neuroscience, specifically research associated with neuroimaging. I had been thinking about aiming for a neuroscience degree at UCL, but after a bit of googling I found that the only career path available after that would be in research, which I've heard is a low-paying job that takes up most of your time.

Whilst I am very interested in research, I want to keep my career path open, so if my interests change I can still find a decent job.

What degrees would allow me to go into neuroscience research, but also keep other options available? E.g. would going into Medicine allow me to then go into neuroscience afterwards?
