Which one would you choose, live alone in a solo studio (25m approx) or live in shared appartement (with say around 3 other flatmates)

I couldn't have afforded my own studio if reliant on Student Finance, so it would have had to be shared.

Depends where you'll live and how much money you'll have coming in.

Definitely live alone. Get your own place, as far away as possible from all other students.

I'm going to assume that money isn't being factored into the question.

It depends. As an undergrad, I preferred to live with people because it's more sociable/easy to make new friends. However, now I'm looking at postgrad courses and I'm thinking I want to have a place to myself. This year I'm living with only 1 other person (a really good friend) and it's nice to have my own place (also no drama).

I currently live alone and I love it, if I had to live with others it would have to be with just one other person because dealing with people domestically is just irritating to me. Living alone is a lot more expensive/difficult and stuff but totally worth it imo

I'm going to be living alone. I'm a mature student and I've done the living with others thing. I don't enjoy it. I would rather pay more for privacy.
