Passover is a traditional Jewish celebration. It recognises and celebrates the abolishment of slavery of the Jewish people in Egypt in around 1300BC. Moses led the Jewish people (Israelites) out of Egypt, where they were slaves for the Pharaoh. In Exodus, God inflicted ten plagues upon the Ancient Egyptians until the Pharaoh agreed to release the Children of Israel.
It is celebrated during April and lasts for seven or eight days, depending on being in Israel or the Jewish diaspora.
