Hey there, I'm a Year 9 student and guess what, I've got a week to go 'till I have to choose my subjects for my GCSE.. yaay...Anyways I've decided on taking Business Studies, Art & Design, Music, Sociology and Spanish?(I'd rather take Psychology but it's not a subject supported by my school) Unfortunately, I can only choose 4 subjects and I'm having trouble deciding which subject I shouldn't take as each of them are beneficial to me. I am extremely passionate about Art and Music despite not being very good at them. I am a beginner at guitar and I enjoy drawing during my free time. As for Business Studies, I'm forced to take this subject by my father. Sociology and Spanish in the other hand have me troubled, being born, raised and from the States I have my knowledge when it comes to Spanish and I can just about speak fluent Spanish, if you gave me a Spanish book I could most likely translate almost all of it. I heard Sociology includes writing a lot of essays and stuff like that which I do not enjoy but I do love the idea of studying about it!

Choose between not doing either art or music- if you're a guitar beginner then probs don't take music because if youre doing the same course as my school you have to write compositions etc and even the grade 8 piantists are finding it hard. If you commit a lot of time and effort to art you might find it okay. Universities don't always think of art and music as real subjects too (even though they require work too) so girls at my school have to do 11 gcses but some are effectively only taking 8 in the eyes of universities :s
