Personally, I think that Jay did it and he set up Adnan.

It's not a strong hypothesis, but all the options are bad, and none of the information is good. There is no doubt in my mind that Jay is lying about almost everything.

I'm quite undecided but I lean in favour of Jay. The guilty verdict should be overturned based on lack of evidence anyway, scary how little it takes to get you put away for life. Somehow neither Jay, Adnan, the defence or the prosecutors could put together a plausible story.

What happened to the gossip who Adnan apparently opened the boot up with Hae inside?

Their are so many flaws with the case, starting with time of death, I suspect Hae must have known that Jay was cheating on Stephenie, hence he was so protective of her, so he killed her, disposed of the car, then kopped for a plea.

I honestly don't know. I'm leaning towards Adnan not being guilty based on Jay's story being inconsistent, repeatedly. What's throwing me off is that Adnan can't remember certain things yet he does have an alibi (which his lawyer didn't even present in court). This case is so complex, with Adnan's lawyer & the entire trial being a mess he should never have been found guilty based on what was presented. What I do know is that the jury couldn't possibly have been so confident with what was presented to send a kid to jail. Incredible, really.

I don't know if he is guilty, I think it might be Jay or maybe someone else. Jay seems guilty of something, i'm not sure if he's pinning it on Adnan as Jay & someone else killed her. At times I think it could be Adnan too. I don't know. Some parts of Jay's story is true though, like leading police to Hae's car. Ah, i'm even confused writing this, I just don't know who it could be. I would rather say it was Jay rather than Adnan. Its all very weird because they weren't even good friends. Just acquaintances.

Have you seen the interview with Jay? They just tracked him down now & he finally gives an interview. Its very interesting. 2 parts:

To me the three key things that make no sense if its Adnan are:

1 - Jay knows where the car is.
2 - Jay can't decide any of the critical facts like where Hae was killed or where he was showed the body.
3 - the naked guy finding the body

    1. I could believe the theory that if Adnan killed her, he would turned to the "dodgy" person, Jay. He's got a record, he works in a porn store, he comes from a family with a criminal history, police would be more likely to blame Jay than Adnan,

    2. This IS really confusing, judging by how long it takes from when he meets the cops to when he signs his statement, it's clear the cops have told him a basic narrative and he's changing his story to suit that.

    3. What's the problem? If Adnan disposed of the body like Jay said, I don't see why Mr S streaking wouldn't come across it? He obviously wasn't urinating, so he must have been streaking (in the forest, at night, no one else around? Does that make sense?)

I don't see how you came to this conclusion - if anything it was the opposite.

But according to everyone, they weren't even that good friends. I never bought the idea that Adnan could leverage Jay's drug dealing to help him with a murder. Also - (and part of the whole Nisha thing) Jay didn't work at the porn video store until after Hae was killed.

Except that the police would be happy with whatever story he gives them, but he keeps changing it between interviews and between trials. His changes hinder the police, not help them. All he needed to do was show them the car and tell them one story.

I think the problem that just about everyone had with Mr. S was that it was more or less impossible to see Hae's body without knowing it was there.

They never identified the brandy either.

I think the cops could have got their signals crossed. E.g Jay tells them he went to smoke weed, police tells him to say he went somewhere else instead, then on tape he isn't at all believable so they tell him to say something else. So maybe he's just confused completely?

Well S was doing something, I doubt he was killing her, what was she doing all the way at Le akin Park?

No, I don't think it was the drugs. Maybe he knew about him having an affair?

That was a representation by the District Attorney in a bail hearing. They would say the same about anyone for any reason.

I still think it's too much. It's reverse leverage - "Help me with a murder or I'll tell your girlfriend you're cheating on her," that's no leverage at all. It also goes in the opposite direction of Jay being a bad boy.

Jay knowing where the car is makes him either the murderer or accomplice. I think Jay borrowed Adnan's car which had his phone in it, hence the outgoing calls from Adnan's phone that he didn't know about - maybe to make it seem like Adnan. Also, Jay was a notorious car borrower. He like to borrow people's cars. The only thing is .. jay isn't smart. Nor does he have a reason to even kill Hae. I don't see what his motive is.

What do you think of Jen, she's fishy right? Could it be possible that Jay & Jen killed Hae (motive unknown) & then pinned it on Adnan as he was the ex? Jay spent time with Adnan weeks after the murder so must have been in his company to know that he didn't have an alibi then (although he had Asia).

Mr S is a weird one. There is no way he would have found the body by peeing or even by streaking & accidentally finding it. It was said that the city surveyor could barely see it as it was concealed well. I don't think Mr S did it or was really involved, otherwise why put yourself in the position of "discovering" it or reporting it. Jen & Jay said they came forward because they didn't want an innocent guy (Mr S) to go to jail & it was the right thing to do. Yet, they didnt really care about Hae's murder, especially Jay as he spent time with Adnan after the murder happened. Maybe someone told Mr S about where the body was & Jay thought Mr S knew even more information about Jay's involvement so he decided to pin it on Adnan so Mr S doesn't spill any info he has.

Why hasn't Adnan turned on Jay? That's the only part of this whole thing that makes me feel that Adnan is a little guilty - about something. If he is guilty/involved, that's why he can't turn on Jay otherwise he would implicate himself in doing so. If Adnan did do it, I think he would be smarter and cover his tracks properly, have a good story rather than "I don't remember" & pin it on Jay. He had 3 weeks after the murder to do so. It doesn't make sense. Yet Jay was the one after the murder seemingly trying to pin it on Adnan after the murder by telling people in the weeks after how he is scared of Adnan etc. Jay & Adnan are still hiding something. Something big, that terrifies them.

It was the pre meditation as well. Even if it was a mate and he said "here, take my car and phone, I'm away to kill Hae, I'll call you after" is ridiculous.

The other answer then is that Jay wanted her dead too, maybe they had talked about it and Adnan wrote the piece of paper with kill on it as a test. So Adnan is the killer with Jay his assistant but involved in the planning too. Maybe Hae got wind of the affair and Adnan was jealous.

he's not a bad boy, he "cracked" on first interview with the cops.

I never really thought much about Jen either way.

The idea that Adnan and Jay are both scared of something is an interesting one but only makes sense if they didn't do it. And if they are so terrified-why agree to have the podcast made?

Okay, if Jay called Nisha, then how is it that the phone with no answering machine answered and it took one and a half minutes?

I think Jay's motive is covering for an affair behind Stephanie back. Hae likely knew this and Adnan may have too. Jen staying to protect Jay.

Possible, maybe the same person who told the gossip about Adnan opening the car boot for him told the streaker? But who would know the streaker? Why?

and yes, he must remember SOMETHING about that day. The only thing that maybe would be viewed as worse by Adnan than murder must be something religious, was he doing something that would really socially isolate him from friends and family? I don't know what this could be, would a homosexual affair fit the bill?
