It is not simply because of that, it is my past experiance with the mods. One of the first threads that I started on was one about paedophiles, and for no reason, one of the mods deleted while it was in full swing, simply because he looked at the name.
Also I have got a load of bad rep from quite a few newbies and from other members who have not liked my opinion, which was not offensive or silly.

Everyone has had threads deleted, tis annoying at first but i reckon u will get over it.
