Basically, I was able to re-sit my GcSE math exam at my new sixth form at the school. However, we did foundation and i got an E. I actually tried hard and did my best so I'm really upset and depressed about it. It sounds worse than it is cause its foundation. Someone I know got a G, so I'm not the worse, but since this was a re-sit, do you think we will be able to re-sit it?

You can re-sit as often as you like. There are no limits.

Really? My last school (grammar school) , we only had one re-sit allowed and that was your final grade. But then again, they were strict and didn't like re-sits anyway. That's great news if I can! Thanks

Never heard of getting a G. That is a whole new level of s***. I thought you could only get E, then U (ungraded). So take solace you passed (technically).

When you say you did your best, did you do all the revision you could, beacuse unlike other subjects Maths is all about understanding, so if if spend as much time as you can on it you should get an A* and be wunderbar

Thanks I think that's my problem, really understanding so maybe i'll look into tutoring. Yeah G is a weird grade, but Its because foundation is so stupid and the highest you can get is a C.

Schols set their own internal rules but the government and exam boards set no limits on the number of times you can re-sit. You may have to to find an alternative exam centre if your school refuses.

A-E then U is what's available if you only take Higher Tier. If you take Foundation, or a mixture of the two, then Grades A*-G and U are available.

Yeah I know I may have to - but as long as can retake I feel so much better about it.

I know its possible to get funnily s*** qualifications, like some one who left year 11 to go to college is doing level 1 plumbing and another is doing level 1 ICT (which is basically sats). That was absolutely f****** LOLED when I heard that one
