I'm a bit confused about Gestus in Drama. We did some exercises and I have to write up our work but I want to be sure I've got this right.
Gestus is the revealing of an attitude through the gestures, movements, facial expressions and use of space of actors on stage.
Is that right?
So if an actor was playing a woman and they were walking around the stage in super fast motion then there was a male actor walking around the stage really slowly, would that show that the actor playing the woman's attitude was that woman were overworked and men had it easy?
This is really confusing...
