I've taken Norethisterone twice before to delay my period and im planning to take it again next week.

I took the pills for 1 week in July, and 1 week in October last year.

Does anyone know if it's bad/dangerous to take it this regularly? (This means ive taken it every 3 months since July 2014). My periods are really regular.

    Thank you! Xx

No, it's not more dangerous than taking a progesterone-only pill.

The main reason there's a week's break for the combined pill is that the (mostly male) team that invented it thought that women would think they were pregnant if they didn't have any bleeding once a month. The early ones used Norethisterone as their progesterone equivalent.
