I recently got a rejection from one of my 5 choices, it was the first thing I heard from Ucas since applying on Wednesday. However, I heard that you can swap a unsuccessful University for another University as long as it's within the 7 day cooling off period? anyone experienced this?

No, you can't change a choice once you have received a reply.

I contacted UCAS earlier to discuss it and this is what was said:
Me: @UCASonline I got rejected from a Uni, I was wondering whether I could substitute it? Applied less than 7 days ago.
Ucas: Yes, you can change it if you give us a call directly.
I'll confirm with them tomorrow. -

After initially ringing UCAS up the guy seemed slightly clueless and said that you can't swap an unsuccessful choice for a new choice. So I tweeted UCAS and they said it's definitely possible. I re called UCAS and the nice women on the phone swapped it for me, giving me 5 choices again that are currently being reviewed.

So if I wanted to swap a uni choice I would have to call the uni to make them reject me and rgen swap?
Are you sure this swap is possible? How long of a process was it? -
