Volksverhetzung laws exist, yet Angela Merkel attended the march.
Hate Crime laws exist, yet David Cameron attended the march.

I bet they're not hurrying to repeal such laws, none of them represent freedom of speech.

An Israeli court yesterday indicted eight Palestinians from East Jerusalem for "inciting" anti-Jewish violence and supporting "terror" in postings on Facebook, an Israeli Ministry of Justice statement said.
Free speech would be saying "Jews suck" or something similar. What the palestinians did on the other hand was to incite violence against a persecuted minority, a bit different!

I agree that inciting violence should be an exception to free speech, but Jews are hardly a persecuted minority in Israel.

Lol @ the claim that Jews are a persecuted minority in Israel.

There's been plenty of (often worse than anything these guys said) anti-Arab incitement from Israelis, yet nevertheless they don't get arrested. In fact quite the opposite, it seems to get them elected to the Knesset and in the government!

This appears to be textbook inability to understand the issues surrounding free speech, exacerbated by a need to bash Israel for something, whether that is justified or not. These men were indicted for encouraging terror attacks. Incitement to criminal activity has never been considered to fall under protected speech.

This is blatently inciting violence. Free speach should not be taken literally.

There's also a virulently anti-Israel Arab in the Knesset, as I recall.

Such is the nature of parliamentary liberal democracy.

Most politicians just ride waves of popular support.

It's worth noting as well that three Jews, the same ones being prosecuted for torching the mixed school, were just charged, in addition to the charges they are already facing, with the same offenses: incitement and supporting a terror group.
