I think there is a very strong 'work hard, play hard' ethic at Cambridge. Yes, most people are quite serious about their work and do work hard, but they also know how to have a good time, and many will go out to clubs and so on during the week, sometimes multiple times. Social life also focuses around colleges, with the JCRs organising 'bops' for students, and you could get absolutely trashed at formal dinners as well if you felt like it. If you want to find outgoing party people at Cambridge you will find them; equally, you will find quieter people as well who maybe don't like going out, but absolutely not everyone is like that.
How are you feeling about your exams?
