Violent crime in London has soared by 22 per cent in a year (32,000 more offences), figures reveal today.
Worst hit among the boroughs was Haringey which saw a huge 38 per cent increase.
There were surges of 31 per cent in Barnet and Kensington & Chelsea, 29 per cent in Redbridge, and almost 28 per cent in both Bromley and Hillingdon.
The smallest rises were 7.5 percent in Kingston-upon-Thames and 10 per cent in Ealing. Across the whole Metropolitan Police area, there was a 21.9 per cent increase.
