I was thinking of applying to a college where I can do an intensive course (AS and A2 in the same year). will the college give a predicted grade to apply to unis with as i am doing the course or will i have to wait until I have actually achieved a grade. When I get my grade which will probably be in august, do universities take applications then or is that too late?

The college will give predicted grades based on how well you do in mocks and lessons.
I will warn you that a lot of people who fast-track A-levels get much worse grades than they were hoping for.

Universities do like you to have ASs because then they have something to base their decisions on. You should apply before the 15th January deadline in order to have the highest chance of getting an offer.
