tattoos and heart murmurs

Just wondering if anyone can help me here

i really want a tattoo, and am hoping to get it done tomorrow. HOWEVER iv been thinking. I had a grade II heart murmur as a little'un and need antibiotic cover for things that are under the skin. I.e operations, teeth out and occasionally fillings.

My dentist said the other day that it's currently under debate whether you actually need antibiotic cover for fillings and teeth out, so it got me wondering whether I would be at risk having a tattoo. The thing is, I could get infections and things in my heart more easily if all goes wrong :s

Can anyone help???

Go and talk to your doctor, and then make sure you tell the tattooist before they begin the procedure (even if your doctor sdays it will be fine).

Yes, as Juno said check with your doctor first. They'll decide whether or not to give you the go ahead. And listen to their advice! Don't just go and get one even if they've said no! :p:
