Which sutures are responsible for the vertical expansion of the skull?

Well if one assumes the suture has to be horizontal and its expansion result in height, it may be the lambdoid and squamosal sutures.

Yes but very interesting.
I think the vertical expansion of the skull is dependable on the size of the brain.
DO you know what the width is between the brain layer and inner skull?

Nope. It looks pretty tight on scans though.
