Eww... Wart!!

Hi, this is my 1st time posting a thread so here goes. I used to have a small white wart  on the corner of my upper lip and it was there for a good 8- 9months, I eventually visited my doctor and they said if i leave it alone it will eventually go away so i stopped squeezing and picking at it- (yuck) and a month later or so it went, ( which was great).
Unfortunetly (5-6 months later), yesterday i could feel an irration to where the wart was previously and I can feel and see it it coming back!!! :frown: :frown: This affected my confidence slightly before as when I was talking to someone close up, I would feel as though they were looking at the wart and I would feel quite self consious. I've also got a boyfriend now and I really don't want to put him off having this disgusting thing on my lip!! So I was just wondering if anyone has experienced this problem before and is there any treatment? And will this wart just keep coming back?!
Hope I don't sound too vain and I Know there are alot worse problems to have but it just gets me down. Any good advice will be gratefully recieved. Thanx.

Could you maybe try some of that over the counter stuff (dont know what its called sorry, Wartner or something like that??!!). Obviously you'd need to check it was suitable for use on the face first. Or you could always try going back to your GP, especially if its a recurring thing.

I had the exact same problem when i was around 7 years old! I never went to the doctors about it though but after going on holiday to spain a good few months after it appeared and getting burned all over, it disappeared. The only logical explanation for this is that the heat killed the virus that causes the warts in the first place.

If it does come back up ask your doctor to freeze it off for you. It takes a few treatments but its better than having it on your lip
The docs are iffy about treating them - my little bro has a wart on his lip, and the doc keeps saying the most effective treatment is just to leave it. However if you go private they can give you something for it/remove it apparently, so thats what he's doing. Go see you doctor at least and maybe he will tell you for definite if he thinks any treatment will help xx

Is there some sort of wart-be-gone stuff that is sold over the counter?
The doc my bro saw said nothing you can get over the counter will cure it, it may remove it temporarily but it actually makes the virus that causes it last longer in your system.
I had one of those for about a year. I ended up picking it and now I have a small hole in face. I wish that I'd went to the doctors and had it frozen off as now I have a permanent scar (it's better than a wart though)
