    Hey all,

I'm looking to apply for Imperial College, London in September this year. However, after doing the calculations, I really don't know if I can afford it.

My mum earns 40,000 a year, meaning we fall rather highly on the Maintenance Grant & Loan scale thing. I think I'm looking at 5.5k loan and about a £600 grant. However, I have a younger brother and sister, so money can still sometimes be tight around the household, and we certainly don't have a few thousand lying around annually to help me through.

I've got a part time McDonald's job, and a very small savings pot, and I would like to keep a part-time job whilst living in London. I just don't know if I'll be able to afford the cost of living whilst in London

Anybody in the same position, or has been, who could offer some advice?

    Thanks,

    Harry
