Something wrong down there

My problem is this
For about a week now iv had a lot of itching in my groin area (im female).
its not sore, but the area is quite red. sometimes it'l go away for a few hours and then come back. i cant c any sores or anything.
then 2 days ago i started getting a light brown discharge that just looks like the end of my period. its quite light and i had a look on the net and it could possibly be just that im ovulating (im not due for another 5 days). it doesnt smell or anything.
im just worried- could it ben an infection or an STI?! im rly too embarrased to go to the doctors and have an examination

there r G.U. clinincs, you can go to. it is free and fast.

Definitely need to go to the doctor. Whatever it is needs sorting so you will have to go at some time for treatment. What is 2 minutes embarrassment for your peace of mind and health? Just do it and stop agonising.

Probably thrush, but go and see a female doctor if you are more comfortable with that.

Reply 4

well obviously if you've had unprotected sex then it could be an sti. just go to the doctors ir gum clinic - look on the net for opening times and your nearest one. make an appointment with a female doc if you'd prefer. it needs checking out though.

sounds like thrush my dear.

Go to your local sex clinic and they'll give you a tablet and some cream and it'll clear up really fast.

Alternatively go and get some Canestin Ultra (I think that's what its called)

Reply 6

you shouldnt have a brown discharge with thrush though

Reply 7

It can only be an STI if you have had unprotected sex, and if you have done that you should definitely get tested, even if you'd had no symptoms. If not it probably is thrush or something, stop stressing and go to the docs to get it sorted xx

i did have sex 2 days before the symptoms started showing, but it was protected. having said that i was so drunk i probably wouldnt have noticed if there was a hole in the condom, etc.

It's unlikley to be thrush the discharge tends to be creamy white coloured and not brown. It's probably just related to your period, but you should just go get checked out anyway. Better to be safe than sorry and the doctor will have seen it all before!

Yeh, its probably best you just go to the doc. It won't be as bad as you think, there trained to do this sort of thing!
