Is there any point in taking biology next year for A2 if when i am doing AS past papers im getting C and D in them? Im considering dropping biology because i am not doing very well in it but then this means that i can't do an optometry.course as they require biology. Im unsure whether to drop Biology or spanish ? any advice would be useful

I say stick with it through AS and see how you get on. Practice does help with Biology believe me
If you really want to get onto that course and that is your dream then definitely don't give up... it may require extra hard work to get the biology up to scratch but it is possible if you have the right motivation. Go with whatever you think will make you happier in the long term

A tip for Biology exams is to do as many past papers as you can and when you mark them... make sure you make notes of the wordings and what the mark scheme is really looking for. Sometimes biology papers have specific answers and its best to learn what the mark schemes want

You're doing well so far, just carry on practising exam technique and I'm sure you'll be fine
Also a tip - Also look at examiners report they help a lot for the exam

You've only done 1 term of the subject so far! Don't start worrying about what to drop yet. Put 100% effort into every subject and then after your summer exams consider which you enjoyed least over the whole year. On results day you can make your final decision about which to drop.
I've seen far too many people say in january 'oh i want to drop X because i don't like it blahblahblah' then they slack off in that subject and don't do very well in it because 'it's pointless'. Then come reults day they buggered up one of the exams in a subject they really wanted to do but can't because either they haven't done well enough to continue it or they just did worse in it than all there others! So don't be one of the people to make that mistake, it's daft.
If you really want to do optometry you don't have any choice but to continue biology so just take the year as it comes and keep working hard.
