Assuming you get a good grade in your AS maths, your school should let you take it.
For AQA(not sure about EdExcel), FP1 is fairly easy, a step up from C2, but easier than C3. Then it depends on which choice modules you take.

I am currently studying Further Maths AS in my A2 year, so it's definitely possible.
I do MEI, so I can't really say about Edexcel, and as morgan8002 says it depends on your applied modules. Which ones were you thinking of taking?
My advice would be to speak to your maths teacher/s now, as well as talking to whoever does timetabling at your school (your teacher should know this), so they can see whether or not you are able to go to the AS Further lessons.
