Hello everybody. I'm applying for entry into 2015 courses and in the past few days I've received unconditional offers from Glasgow and Edinburgh for philosophy. The other three choices I've not heard anything from are St. Andrews, Leeds, and Nottingham. Now that I know for sure that I will have a place somewhere, I was looking to replace Leeds with a choice that is more of a stretch for me. I am an expert at indecision, any advice on what to replace Leeds with? Thanks!!

You can't replace it with anything unless it is within 7 days of sending it off, and as you have an offer from Edinburgh, which takes ages and ages to reply, I am guessing that's not the case. From the Ucas website:

    Changing your choices

    i) Changing university
You have 7 days from the date of your Welcome letter in which you can substitute a university choice for another one. You can find the option to substitute a choice in the Choices section of Track. If you're outside the 7 days then you won't be able to substitute.

I must have gotten lucky then. I submitted my application on the 9th of January, so I still have a few days to make changes.

May I ask what your grades are?

I have applied to two of those universities and heard nothing back, for the same course. As I already have my grades I'd either be receiving an unconditional offer or rejection.
