Predicted IB Scores

Hmm. Did your schools all tell you what your predicted IB scores are?

Because for some reason, my school keeps our scores a secret from us--apparently it's against some kind of rule or law or something??? So we're only left with a general idea of what our predicted scores are.

yeah schools invent their own rules to justify things that they do and then blame it on IB/UCAS/University procedure, i don't think there is any rule against knowing because UK unis need to know and people can't just apply anywhere they need to know if your grades are good enough, so yeah i 'd imagine thats just a school made rule
me:
Maths 6
Physics 7
Business and management 7

French 6
English 7
Computer Science 6

TOk/EE 3

Our school didn't tell/hasn't told us yet the exact predicted grades either nor did they justify the reason for that  But I saw mine :p:, and they are:
English 6
History 6
Biology 7
Physics 7
Maths 7
Spanish 7
I have no idea about the EE/TOK grade but i hope to get at least 1 extra point  btw it's the TOK which is bringing me down...

Can the school send grades like 4/5, 6/7 etc if they are unable to make up their mind, lol?
they should predict up thats our school's policy

I don't know how the application process works in Beijing but if you want to apply somewhere where predicted grades are needed you should tell them that you need them in order to know where it's worth applying to.
exactly i mean you can't apply to oxfodr with 32 points

my school doesn't tell us ours.. they say it's to protect the integrity of the predictions.. kinda makes sense.. for some reason, this girl i know found out her maths predicted grade and was begging her teacher to raise it, which is totally unfair..

I got the predicted grades because I asked for them

Indonesian 7

Total: 40
my school told us on request. I asked they and they told me. I got exactly what I was predicted overall.

Our school had the policy not to tell us about the grades.

However, if someone made uni applications, the person could find about the predicted grades.
lol how many people don't apply to uni?!
I guess it is that many (?) take a gap year and thus will not need any predicted grades as they can apply the year after when they've got their finals...

...exactly. This is something very common for Swedish students. To work, travel...simply do something completely else but studying
My school is not giving our predicted grades before March because they say that they won't be able to judge us before that and it is a school policy. I have applied to Oxford and I don't what am I going to do.
that sounds good sweden is such a cool country

Physics - 7
Comp. Sci - 7

Standard Level
Japanese - 6

Like andy, the full quota of 3 points on TOK/EE thanks to my school's generous attitude.. I'm predicted an A on my EE anyway so I should be getting 2/3 in the real exams (I hope) :p:

Total: 42 points (that will do me just fine in the real exams, but I'd ideally like a 7 in HL Maths).

my school sends out reports to our perants after our trial exams, and we normal assume thats our predicted grade, and im prity sure that our school pushes down predicted grades if ur on the edge.

Personally our Predicted Grades were fully public to us, we even got to see the recommendation that each teacher wrote to our form tutor so that she could write the proper uni recommendation (though that one we couldn't see)
