I've been trying to find a way to email this question to SAAS all evening, but it doesn't fall into any of the categories on their email form (irritating!). I'll probably have to phone them, but wondered if anyone here had experience of this...

10 years ago I received funding for an HNC. I also started the HND year but dropped out due to ill health (though I had received the full tuition fee amount from SAAS at this point).

I know that I can't receive further funding to study at HNC/D level again, but what about going straight onto a degree course? I want to study a different (though not completely unrelated) subject, but all these years I've thought it was impossible because of the tuition fees.

I know you can have a year's 'false start' if you change your mind. Has the uncompleted HND year scuppered it for me forever?

Thank you to anyone who can help! xx

Do you agree with the PM's proposal to cut tuition fees for some courses?
