Ok, a few weeks from now, I will be starting my A-level coursework for history based on Russia. I have already chosen the question I am going to discuss and have started my research on what things to include. However, it is proving to be more difficult that I thought.

The question I am going to be answering is - "The most successful rulers of Russia/ the USSR were the most autocratic." How far do you agree with this statement about Russia and the USSR from 1881 to 1991?

Any help with how to structure this essay or any important points that I need to include would be great! Thanks in advance and I look forward to seeing what you guys think!
