Need some help/advice for my upcoming Russian history coursework! watch

    • Thread Starter

Ok, in a few weeks, I will be starting my A-level coursework which is based on Russian history. I have already chosen the question I will be discussing and have started my research on the topic. However, I am finding it more difficult that what I had anticipated.

The question I will be discussing is - "The most successful rulers of Russia/ the USSR in this period were the most autocratic." How far do you agree with this statement about Russia and the USSR from 1881 to 1991?

We are expected to write between 3,000 and 4,000 words with there being strict rules about the fact that we cannot go over the word limit of 4,000.

What I am looking for is any help or advice you guys can give me on how to structure this essay and and information that would be relevant and could be included. Thanks in advance and I look forward to seeing what you guys recommend!

Define your key terms in the introduction.

Hi there! I'm also doing the Russian unit for my coursework, and though I won't be much help at the moment because I've not even seen the questions yet, it's a long process and we could help each other later on.

What I would first do is go through each leader, then decide whether they were autocratic or less autocratic, and whether this was effective. Obviously include lots of examples, and sources. Your teacher should be able to suggest sources

Do you agree with the proposed ban on plastic straws and cotton buds?
