After working in the Construction industry for 20 Years I am looking at a Career change. The dream is to be a Chartered Accountant. At the Age of 39 and no professional Accountancy experience is this possible and what would be the best Route? I have been looking at AAT as a basic Qualification.
On the Job training would be best but I am not sure if I am to old for training schemes.

Never too old -aptitude & attitude are as critical - AAT is a good start
We've employed mature trainees & trained them
    Good luck
