Everyone is loud and annoying and messing around, and the teachers constantly tell them off but they don't listen and the teacher gives up
and i can't find a random place just to study around the school i'll get told to go to the common room or media centre
the common room is a mess, and sometimes people are in there doing nothing
the media centre is more suited for studying only, but this year everyone hangs out there suddenly, and not to do work either
that shall i do? i'm really trying to use my time effectively but it's so difficult
i could go to the library sometimes, but i think it's closed a lot, and sometimes i need computers, that are in the media centre :/

anyone else also have this issue, or are you the student who messes around during frees too?

If you can go home during your frees why not study there?

Is there anyone at your school that you can raise the issue with? We could go anywhere we wanted so would usually find an empty classroom.

    What shall I do?
Speak to either a senior teacher or any teacher you respect and explain your problem to them. They WILL find you a solution. If the first won't, try a second.

Most teachers are very impressed by a pupil who wants to study.

If they don't (then your school is bloody awful) then ask if the media centre can be supervised by a teacher at all times to keep the noise down.

so don't. I didn't, I just played pool. The greatest achievement of my A-levels was beating my best mate 232 games to 229.

That was 100% the problem for me back in Sixthform.... There was nothing that I could do, so I just tried to reserve doing questions in my frees rather than actual revision. For me, that seemed to help.

We have a silent study room, which is rarely either silent nor used for study.

OP, put instrumental music on your phone, play it loudly and voila, you're able to study.

In my sixth form, there's a common room (where people chill and eat) and there's LRC (quiet place-NO TALKING ALLOWED...like literally; it's always supervised by a teacher and once you say something to a friend- you get kicked out -.-) Although, LRC is really useful for doing past papers on timed conditions

During my free periods, I avoid the common room because of the noise and people messing around BUT I also avoid the LRC because me and my friends usually need to ask each other questions about the topics and things we don't get, so we'll just get kicked out easily, so there's no point going to that room.

What we do is find a spare room, where there's no class being held during that period, and if every room in sixth form has a class, we go down school year and find a spare room there; as there usually is a free room somewhere in the school
