    Hi,

I am currently in year 11. I'm struggling to pick my A levels. The subjects which I am interested in and I'm good at are Sociology and RE. I would say I'm really good at essays and coursework. However, I'm not good at science or maths exams. I'm thinking about taking English Literature, but I only get C's in the language exams. However, I have not done my unseen poetry mock exam yet. Should I do Psychology or Sociology? Or should I do both? I am also thinking about doing a History A level, but I am currently doing GCSE History and I find the medicine part boring. Or should I do a Philosophy/Religious Ethics A level? I'm really good at RE, but I'm not sure about the philosophy side.
Here are the choices: English lit/Pyschology or Sociology, History/Philosophy or politics?
Which are the best A levels for me?

    Thanks

I don't think you need to do politics to become a lawyer. However politics is very interesting if you're choosing it for the content side of things

And I'm currently doing psychology and it is allot of written work and memorization in terms of learning case studies. But if you're into the explanation of human behavior then this subject would be very useful and interesting for you,

    I hope that helped x

My friend who wants to become a lawyer is taking law, psychology, sociology and history. Although she has been told that she doesn't need the law a level to go into law in university. This probably doesn't help but

I would recommend doing the subjects you enjoy the most as these will be the ones you'll be more likely to get a higher grade. Also, I'd recommend doing only 3 a levels if you can so that you can focus more on them as you will have to drop one anyway. Try looking on the university websites or UCAS to see if they want you to take certain subjects to get onto the course you want.
