Hi, I am in a bit of a predicament regarding my future and was wondering if anyone had any advice. I am currently Studying Media Production BSc at DeMontford University however I am not really enjoying it. I wish I had gone down a completely different education path as I enjoy history and whilst only getting a D at A Level (didn't put the effort in), I was wondering if there is any chance i could be afforded the opportunity to gain some UCAS points and raise my history grade?

    Thanks

The honest truth is that history is a hugely over-subscribed subject and to get a look in at any university worth attending you are going to have to retake your A level.

Talk to your current uni. If you're doing okay on your current course, they might be able to allow you to swap to the history degree. With a D at A Level it is unlikely, because they will want to see that you coped with previous study, but they might be more lenient as they already know you
