    Hi guys

I'm currently in my 3rd year of a 4 year course in engineering. I've been looking into commodity trading and was wondering what my chances would be if I applied to the graduate programs next year e.g. BP IST.

I don't have any relevant work experience with regards to trading and I don't have anything lined up for this summer at the moment and I am desperately trying to find some kind of experience/internship within the industry to help build my CV for the grad applications.

That said, anyone who's applied to something like BP's IST grad program, do they look for people from a more financial background? and did you have a really closely related summer internship the year before?

Appreciate any replies, thanks for the help
