Anyone got an unfair detention story? Watch
When I was in the detention my GCSE teacher was there (the incident happened in normal PE) I explained the situation and he simply laughed and told me to leave. I then got another detention for apparently walking out when I was told to leave! My dad phone and complained to the vice principal and he got me out of my detention but it infuriated me soo much!

As I think about it now, I got a lot of French detentions... sometimes it wasn't unfair... maybe being a bit silly in year 9... #Guilty
My friend was typing offensive stuff into the login bars of the computers
I realised that the teacher was checking them all before we left (god knows why)
So I leant over and backspaced it out to stop him getting in trouble
BOOM! Lunchtime detention for 'messing around'.
The preface of this whole thing is, I admit, mostly my fault. So my school had a specialist tech area, in which my best frenemy James was a prefect. Essentially, if I got bored on the lunchtime I'd waltz into the tech area with some ****-and-bull reason for being there in the first place (for the area was supposed to be emptied out aside from workers over the lunch) and then take the prime opportunity to wind him up with both hands. Him and the other dude on duty would eventually throw me out - physically, usually. But James overstepped the mark when the git thought it'd be a laugh to grass me up to Craig. He was not a happy bunny - I could practically see the steam rising off his whacking great red nose, fugging up my glasses, as he ranted at me.
In short, I got exiled from tech over the lunchtime period, on pain of execut- er, a Friday Night Detention.
Flash forwards about a month later, and having inspected the development pages of the design portfolio made to accompany whatever piece of MDF-bodied tutt I'd knocked up, and he was once more beyond disgruntled. I would have to stay in at tech outside of lessons in order to fix the issues as quickly as possible, I was fairly happy to oblige and said I'd get started on it now (over the lunch period), to which he said "Sure.".
So I've been working my sorry butt off diligently on this tech project at a tech department computer for about half an hour - despite James' mick-taking the entire time - when Craig walks back in with a tray of pie, chips and gravy in hairy hand. He spots me before I spot him - my attention turned entirely to the computer screen - and his eyelids compress to form two hate-espousing slits. James, killing himself laughing, informs Craig of my sins - having the gall to do my tech project over my lunchtime period!
Craig bellows at me to get into his office, all the prefects peer through the glass door to have a giggle at what's going down. After a customary bit of a shout from him to me, I meekly mentioned that I had actually been told to come into the tech department to get the work done - that those were literally his orders.
All I got for this (I'd thought) fairly justifiable point was an upgrade to Double Friday for 'an argumentative nature'. 75 whole minutes of detention, which, as my parents worked at the same school as I attended, I was forced to adhere to as they could not be seen to be undermining Craig's (an SLT) authority. >:C
it wasn't my fault!
the fact they moved automatically interested me!
When I was 8 I got a detention for helping a new girl find her way to the school's hockey pitches. Everyone else had abandoned her so I took the time to help her myself. This of course made me late for my lesson but it was for a good cause. When I finally got to my lesson my teacher gave me an "on report" (an upgraded detention of sorts) for being late and back-chatting (she asked me why I was late so I told her what happened - and that's back-chatting?). My mum complained to the school because getting punished for helping someone is completely ridiculous, so they changed it to a detention instead... missing the point entirely. It was a really messed up school.
At the age of 11 (still at that school) I was in registration one day just quietly doing my homework, when the teacher walked in. One of the girls in my class (the only black person in the class oddly enough - like I said it was a screwed up place, the ratio of black to white was 1:45-ish) immediately put on crocodile tears so the teacher rushed over to her. She then declared that I'd been yelling racist comments at her all throughout registration* (I hadn't said a word to anyone in my class all morning) so I was made to stay behind afterwards. She walked out with this huge smirk on her face and I got lectured about why racism is wrong. I got into worse trouble when I pointed out that because the door had been open the teacher would have heard it if I'd been yelling racist comments.
Last year (at a different school) I got an internal suspension because my Latin teacher didn't like me. I know how stupid that sounds but there really was nothing else to it. She took an instant disliking to me (I later found out that in all of her classes she singles out one person to be her verbal punching bag), everything I did was wrong in her opinion. I would get the same marks as other people in my class and she'd give me an F while they got As and Bs. She'd even say things like "here's how to do it properly class, don't follow X's** example and screw it up." The one time I stood up for myself and confronted her about it she then grabbed my planner, wrote some insults about her in it and then accused me of writing it. The entire class saw it but no one would back me up because they didn't want her to pick on them too. She took it to the head of sixth form and I ended up getting an internal suspension over it. Karma hit her hard though - she lost her job at the end of that year! xD
*In reality I don't care about ethnicity or gender or anything else - we're all human so what's the difference?
**I'm not giving my real name away :P
the unfair part was she let me go home after 10 minutes!
