Hey, I applied to LSE yesterday for accounting and finance, and after sending my application, I realised I forgot to write a 'the' where it should have been. Will this be a deal-breaker for the LSE people?

One typo in your PS is not a deal breaker.

Okay, if not a deal breaker, then will it affect my chances of getting in?

It might do but it is unlikely they'll even pick up on it, never mind care.

But if they do pick up on it, then?

    It is unlikely.

If you want reassurance then ring them up and ask them directly.

Thanks for the help. I am just too much worried about this one error.

    ?
As PQ says above, a single mistake probably won't impact your application that much. It's unlikely they'll give it that level of scrutiny.

As PQ said above, its not likely to be an issue unless you're going for a course in the English/History department. You seem to be applying for a course where numbers matter more. You'll be fine.

I did the same, omitted the definite article, and it scuppered me.

"LSE is rightly seen as the ****", was what I'd been shooting for.
