So I've been working at KFC on a zero hour contract for around 2 and half months. We get paid fortnightly so I've had 4 paydays before however this Tuesday I was supposed to be paid but was not. No nothing. I've rang up the place I work 3 times and all they've said is 'waiting for a reply from payroll' and haven't had the opportunity to talk in person since I only work weekends.

Surely the process should be treated more urgently than this since its against the law to not pay someone? Or am I just not seeing the big picture?

Is it best for me to carry on ringing everyday or leave them to do the job themselves?

Give it time and make a note of how much you are owed and the day/dates. Lucky the only problems I have had with them is not paying me the correct amount which, in my case, got solved quite quickly. All the best xx

Call your head office payroll team directly.

what Rueu said - get the number and call payroll directly... explain that you really need the money and you are prepared to give them until X date to pay you
