Looking at several PGCE courses they don't state a degree required. I'm certain I will graduate with a 2.2 degree in maths this year, so I've decided to take a year out to look for work experience working in a classroom, and save up some money.

How hard is it to get into teaching with a 2.2?

the difficulty you have is that people come from all sorts of areas to do teaching.
it's not like you would be going for a maths graduate jobs where everybody was a maths student.
personally, i'm looking at doing a PGCE next year and i currently study psychology, so you see what i mean

i don't think it's impossible if you interview well, although a great deal of people get a 2.1 in bachelor degrees.
on my course most people get a 2.1, so before you've even applied, you may find yourself behind most people.
this isn't to put you down, just to say that it could be tough.

although one positive is that post graduate is a little different - there aren't as many people doing postgraduate qualifications than there are going to uni as undergraduates.
a lot of universities just want places filled up so they may take people with lower grades
