I'll just post this here as well:

Can anybody chime in on Notts vs Edinburgh for Comp Sci and Artificial Intelligence?

I'm leaning towards Notts as I've heard a lot of good things: the LinkedIn ranking pegs Notts higher and it was the most targeted by the top 100 employers last year.

Don't really care about economics so I applied to a degree that is both mathematical and tech (love tech) oriented. I'm fairly entrepreneurial so not quite the typical "computer nerd" stereotype that people give Comp Sci students.

As always, I will take everything I read here with a massive grain of salt - more interested in hearing everyone's opinions.

P.S. Deciding on which to firm so no "top 6 or bust" nonsense.

    notts

    Notts it is then!

To be fair, I'm going to visit both anyway.

I was just worried because Edinburgh seem to have a good international reputation..

I'd go for Edinburgh. As far as 'Prestiege goes' there in reality won't be a huge difference that really matters as how much you'd like to spend several years in one place, and personally I'd rather live in Edinburgh not Nottingham (though Edinburgh accommodation prices are significantly more expensive).
