# C3 Differentiation help watch

1. so we just learnt you can use the derivative of sin x to differentiate cos x rule in edexcel c4 differentiation but i am stuck on a question which is:
differentiate: y= 6cos5/6x or pg 144 ex 8g question c if u have the text book for edexcel.
(c) y = 6cos5/6x
∴ dy/dx = 6 × −5/6 sin 5/6 x = − 5sin5/6 x how?? please go through step by step
Thanks

What don't you understand

You have all the steps there

I assume that you know the chain rule since that was in C3

3. standard results.

Or, by chain rule:

likewise for sine.
